In 2013, Geneva airport recorded some 50’000 landing and take-offs (about 140 per day). What is interesting though is according to Wijet, a private aviation company, nearly half of these were private flights.
The same company has announced that it is now offering private flights from Geneva to 1’200 destinations in Europe and North Africa for EUR 2’400 per hour – which it says is a significantly discounted rate given that up to four passengers can share the cost. These rates soften a tad when free airport transit, Veuve Cliquot and satellite phone calls are brought into the equation.
The company claims that by using the latest generation of “light aircraft†the ecological impact of its services is reduced.
