It is rare to have world-class musical talents come together to give performances in lesser known venues in the region. But this is exactly what is happening in Versonnex on 31 October.
For fans of the acoustic guitar, this event promises to be memorable with three highly respected masters coming together for just one evening.
Solorazaï¬ndrakoto (or more simply, Solorazaf) a native of Montpelier, has played with many of the world’s top musicians. His roots lie in jazz and American blues.
Michel Haumont, a French guitarist recorded his first album in 1974 at the age of 17. Influenced by folk and leading artists such as Merle Travis and John Renbourn, he has a light and sometimes contemplative style.
The third performer, Peter Finger, has been called by some a “musical bomb†for his explosive ideas. Finger is a virtuouso with enormous musical vision and has a style described as sensual, elegant and full of imagination. As far back as the Seventies, Peter enjoyed an outstanding reputation internationally, and the music press has included him in the pantheon of the world’s best guitarists. He has toured extensively giving performances in Europe, North and South America, and Asia.
The concert on 31 October takes place at Bois Chatton, Salle Pierre-Jaques just across the border in Versonnex in France. For further information: www.guitar-night.com
