Sepp Blatter: no mobile, no email, 8 year FIFA suspension, what next?

According to Le Matin, following his eight year FIFA suspension, Sepp Blatter must hand over his professional mobile phone and access to emails. He is however allowed to keep his salary, company car and apartment in Zurich until 26 February 2016.

On 22 December 2015, FIFA’s ethics committee imposed an eight year suspension on Mr Blatter. For eight years he is not allowed to undertake any activity linked to football. The suspension is related to a controversial payment of 1.8 million euros made to FIFA’s vice president Michel Platini.

As a result of the suspension he no longer has access to his work email or mobile phone.  Due to his employment contract he will still receive his salary, keep his company car and be able to use his apartment in Zurich.

Today his name was still emblazoned on the front of the local primary school in his home town of Visp in the canton of Valais in Switzerland (see photo above). Primary school naming rights however, are unlikely to be protected by his employment contract.
