The Vaud-based company announced today that Johan Andsjö has decided to leave Salt as CEO with immediate effect. The Swedish Engineer turned CEO describes himself as someone who starts things up, shuts things down and turns things around. In his profile on Salt’s website he offers a thought: It’s easy to make simple things complicated. It’s hard to make complicated things simple.
Why Johan Andsjö decided to leave is unknown. Perhaps life at Salt became too complicated. Perhaps he decided it was time to start something new.

Salt’s Board of Directors has delegated the role of interim CEO to Pierre-Alain Allemand. Since the recent change of ownership, Pierre-Alain has been working at Salt, assisting Salt Mobile’s executive team. Before working at Salt, the 42-year old worked for French mobile operators SFR and Cegetel. He is a graduate of the French Grande Ecole the Ecole Spéciale des Travaux Publics, du Bâtiment et de l’Industrie (ESTP) in Paris.

Salt announced that a search has been initiated for a successor to Johan Andsjö. Olivier Rosenfeld of NJJ Capital said “We acknowledge Johan’s departure and fully respect his decision. And we are convinced that Pierre-Alain will manage the ad interim task until a new CEO will be nominated with the full support of the Management Team and the shareholder for the continuity of the business.”
NJJ Capital, which is controlled by the French entrepreneur Xavier Niel, bought Orange Switzerland for CHF 2.8 billion in December 2014 and changed its name to Salt.
