According to the newspaper 24 Heures, EPFL, one of Switzerland’s two prestigious federal science universities, will open its doors on 5 and 6 November 2016. The weekend, focused on children from 4 to 15 years old, is designed to encourage interest in science.
The campus, based in Lausanne , will offer 200 presentations, workshops and demonstrations. Activities will include making a water clock or a seismogram, discovering the mechanics of nuclear fusion, and trying to beat a robot at babyfoot.
The event is free, however booking is required for some things. The event runs from 9am to 6pm on Saturday and from 10am to 5pm on Sunday.
